Lesley Lebkowicz has practised with Western teachers and Burmese meditation masters in the Mahasi lineage of Insight Meditation in Burma, Nepal, the United States and Australia since 1983. Her main teachers have been Michele McDonald, Sayadaw U Pandita, John Hale and Sayadaw U Vivekananda. Lesley’s teaching focusses on developing a loving gentleness towards our own minds and on the importance of exercising autonomy and responsibility for our own development. This retreat is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced meditators.

Lesley’s teaching focuses on developing benevolence towards our self and others. She aims to enable people to discover their own minds and learn how to work and live with them as skillfully – with as much integrity and freedom – as possible. Her retreats offer guided practice, daily Dharma talks and individual and group meetings within the container of silent mindful practice. Lesley leads the Canberra Insight Meditation Group and the CIMG website has more information about her teaching. This retreat is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced meditators.
